Depends on how much value you want to add or how quickly you want to sell.
Personally, I wouldn’t go overboard with the renovations but would make sure it’s good enough that someone else wouldn’t want to immediately change it when buying.
If you trust that you have a good standard of living, I’d just go through the house and be extra picky about flaws. Maybe some timber that needs to be replaced or paint that has faded that you haven’t gotten around to are good starts.
Getting a friend/family member to help out with this will make it faster, and they may spot something you might have missed out on. A second perspective always helps.
